It is around Inquisition that we think about how M.E.N got started 13 years ago (you can read about our history on the web site) with an idea of distributing rough cards to hot men on a dance floor, inviting them back to recover. 17 men turned up and decided to keep it going until we have what M.E.N is today. The scene has changed since then of course with sex parties happening all over the place and we hope we have, in some ways, made a contribution to the message of men having fun and at the same time looking after their sexual health.

So as we gear up for Inquisition and as memories of Mardi Gras 2007 fade into the past you all can congratulate yourselves on probably one of our best party seasons.

RezErection 8 - The Underwear Party

Alex and Kell put in an incredible amount of work and mounted a spectacular party at Arq. The men you guys brought along were stunning and many commented that the view of the dance floor from the mezzanine of hot men in just their underwear dancing to fantastic music was a sight to behold and remember. Synergies came together as in years before with lighting, music and hot looking men all working together. We thank Alex especially as it was his initiative, concept and energy that got the whole thing on the road and he saw it through from beginning to end. He handled the usual hassles with tickets and music. We thank Manhunt.net and Gold’s Gym for their support and the support of so many guys whose help made the party work. From Peter, Paul, Raymond, Will and others who lent a hand and who had the coat check working well, to the guys who stuffed envelopes and manned the front of house and to Dominic for the data base management and Rod for the web site. Phillip who did all the small money bags and Malcolm and Brett for the printing of all the bag labels. See pix of the event taken by Rod.

Hot yet Warm – David

David has been on the list for ages and many of you would know him from wild parties he has organised himself. We appreciate the pics you sent through

Mardi Gras Recovery

An extraordinary night for those who appreciate the clash of erotic action and performance. We had heat, a moon AND a storm. Summer gave us one final burst as it was the hottest March day for years. Ari, the gymnast who performed during the party on the ring suspended from the roof, commented that the hot summer temperatures we had that night teamed with the extra heat rising of M.E.N writhing below made his show increasingly difficult because his own sweat caused the ring to be wet and slippery. Strangely in all the years we have been doing M.E.N we have never had a full moon on the actual night so those who react in excited ways when the heavens glow had everything they could have asked for. Then a storm of record ferocity, with lighten flashing across the sky, and amazing claps of thunder. It was Zeus or Apollo, maybe Thor doing whatever they do when the skies explode. The arrival of the Toybox party guys after 8.30 injecting extra energy as it always does and with the official tally at 354 it was one of the largest parties we have ever held. Depending on who you hooked up with it was the Germans, the Dutch and Scandinavians who seemed to be the most appreciated for attitude, size and looks respectively. Darius and Reymon, Paul and Giorgio, Napoleon, David P and Jim K, Warren and Andrew, David N, Peter H, Troy, Napoleon, Simon D, Munjeet, Dominic, Steve n B, Darren CH and Bill, Raymond, Phillip and Chris W need our thanks in addition to the guys who helped set up and those who stayed back at the end to clean up.

SMS Experiment

We currently send out party invitations by post and / or email. Due to Dominic’s amazing efforts we can now send out an SMS reminder. We’ll see how it works and whether it is really necessary. If you do not want to receive an SMS reminder or you think that it is not worth spending the money then let us know thru men@sydneymen.org and we will turn that function off. Similarly if you have changed your phone number since you joined up then let us know so that we are sending it to the right number.

Donation and Volunteers

M.E.N is still a community and not a commercial venture and the Kirk is becoming a rather expensive place to use. We had no complaints about our asking for a little more in your donation and thank those who handed in more. If you have any new ideas for venues and can offer help either setting up or bumping out then please email us as we do not have a volunteer co-ordinator. Anyone who would like to take that job on for a while would be most appreciated. If future parties are going to happen we need help in event management as well, especially in transporting gear from the lock up.

Enjoy Inquisition weekend!

Brought to you by the dedicated volunteers of M.E.N
