RezErection
7 and Mardi Gras Recovery
We
thought two parties over one weekend was high risk but as it turned
out Alex’s idea of a party the day before Mardi Gras was,
in fact, a master stroke. PayPal allowed overseas, mostly from the
UK, the USA and Hong Kong and interstate guys to secure tickets.
Thanks to Alex B, Raymond, Chris and Michael, Clive from Glasgow,
Conrad, Brian, Peter H, David N, Simon, and Ian for the Rez 7 mail
out, and to Raymond, Malcolm, Peter C, Andrew and Freddy, John M
for the Mardi Gras Recovery mail out. Phillip and Malcolm handled
all the logistics. Brett the printing of the bag labels and the
coin bags. What wonderful satisfaction it was to see the expressions
on guys’ faces when they had returned to them what they thought
was lost forever; the car keys for one, the $100 for another, someone’s
PASSPORT! Deeply satisfying. All due to the honestly of friends
who handed the bags in. Great idea Malcolm!
Thanks due to Adam W, Dilhan and Paul S and Mac N for promotions;
Chris S and Steve S for the slideshow, Shan S for the audio, Adam
and Chris Smyth for the lighting, Mark for the lasers. Our appreciation
goes to Dominic whose services we did NOT require. Dominic came
with every medical gadget believable to deal with emergencies. We
did not any call on medical whatsoever, which is a credit to all
our MEN and the guys they invited. Haris and Timothy, thanks for
the front of house, Jason O and John D, Paul W for the bagging and
tagging. Peter C, Jason O, Ivano and Jordan for clothes check John
DC for organising the beautiful Brazilians, Ralphy and Ricardo to
drop their briefs in the dance cages, the DJs Chip, Ric Dreske and
Jojo Fernandez. Peter H for the photography. The pics he took can
be seen at petezimagez.com/rogues.html
and finally Bob Moore of The Piercing Urge for the ticketing.
Set up for the MEN party was done by Richard B (slings), Richard
C, Grant M, José, David H, John H, Claudio, Max. William,
Ian and Brian. Invitations were great thanks to Chris Smyth, Rod
for the website, Mikey for the database management and Shaun for
the emails. Troy and JD, Jason O, John D, Paul W, Phillip, Kell
and Malcolm for the bagging and tagging. Raymond had a hand in just
about everything!
Thanks to Bill and Darren SH who led the clean up with 19 others
to have the Kirk ready for Malcolm and Brett to go in the next day
and professionally spruce the place leaving it cleaner than we found
it, the bar was led by David H, Terry and Peter C, and the bags
were carefully monitored by David M and William. We donated $1020
to Mardi Gras.
