From humble beginnings back in 1994 MEN is still a network of friends, not open to the public, enjoying the erotic experience of being naked, without the attitude found in some scenes and premises, looking after each other through safe sex. You can read the history of MEN here. To celebrate Sydney Leather Pride offered MEN access to 200 tickets; two tickets each, for Inquisition XII on May 15. We notified all those who have email addresses registered with us and as expected tickets were quickly snapped up. We thank Grey Bloye and the SLP committee and Rod for managing the demand. For those who missed out, some tickets will be on sale at SLP Fair Day at Prince Alfred Park (behind Central Station) on Sunday 9th May. Check www.sydneyleatherpride.org for updates. Conversion - Mardi Gras RecoveryThe full moon shone over a blessed party. The rain stopped and we thank Tim P who offered his warehouse home, transformed by Kell and Raymond, Malcolm, Brett and Peter into a hot sex space. So many contributed to our largest single entry party ever. (OK, for the pedants the Gay Games party was larger but we had two entries for that one). We welcomed over 320 guys to recover from Mardi Gras. Alex A was down from Coffs Harbour so with Kell and Phillip he labelled the bags and thanks to Brett, who did a great job printing their labels. Security of the bags is so important for the smooth running of a party and this system works well. David M looked after them all for you. Alex also shopped for the grog with Phillip and then he did the bar as well with Mal from Canberra. Malcolm S, of course, managed the whole thing and did the shopping. He even climbed up the power pole to cover the street light! As our logistics manager we could not do without him ‘cos he set up the sling and curtains too. Interstate and overseas guys filled the corners, Jeff from Texas and Lindsay from Adelaide were there. The Arabic contingent gets larger each year with Iran, Dubai, Oman and Jordan mentioned as home countries. Khalil was from Lebanon. All those euroboys… why is it that a God that loves us so dearly can be so unfair when dealing out cocks? They were gargantuan! One euro queen actually complained that we did not supply EXTRA large condoms. (Checked him out later and he wasn’t THAT big, unlike his other euro cousins!) Making the night extra special was DJ Tony and his crew Justin and Matt D. Guys who stay back to clean up are always appreciated, James E, Darren, Peter H, Glen H, Tim N, Lawrence from Melbourne, Bill who wiped down the mats, David H, Steve and Jason, Alex, Malcolm, Phillip and to David who came in on the Monday an left the house immaculate! |
