Time: Donation at door ($20 as a guide) I guess what makes the Byron party so wonderful each year (this is our fourth!) is that everyone is so relaxed being on holiday, no-one has to work the next day, the MEN are tanned and gorgeous, wholesomely recovering from the night before at Tropical Fruits or other New Year’s Eve parties. They come from miles around, last year’s contingent from Brisbane were welcomed and we expect many will again make the trek. For those who yearn for the smaller parties of former times this one does not have the frenetic intensity of the Sydney parties but is laid back hassle free fun. . There is still some room in the MEN house in Byron after January 3. |

Two newsletters at onceWe thank those who throw in a donation of more than is expected. At each party many of you guys are very generous at the front door. A bit extra helps keep the finances in order so we send you notification of the two end-of-year parties in the one envelope. One reason is for economy but also from your feedback last year, some were wishing they had known about the Byron Bay arrangements earlier so that they could plan more confidently and make decisions about where they wanna be New Year’s Eve, in Sydney or up north. |

Hot yet Warm – David
This year saw yet another of our MEN splashed across the front pages of the gay press, this time in Brisbane. David gets down to MEN parties fairly regularly and you may have seen him get his medal for physique at Gay Games or even met him serving drinks or helping out either in Sydney or at one of the Byron New Years’ Day parties, where he will be New Year’s Day. PEPMEN is a safe sex party. Whilst we get very few complaints about guys trying to bareback at MEN parties, we do get some, usually guests not yet attuned to the Sydney MEN culture.
