Our third party at Byron Bay which has become in summer, the Sydney version of Fire Island. The first party at Eureka in 2001 was a small laid back event bathed in the evening sun. Last year we were more adventurous lugging the towels and gear up in the car, not knowing how many of you were even in the Byron area let alone how many would turn up. The risk taking paid off however and we had a delightful mix of regulars from Sydney with Brisbane MEN whom we generally see only at Mardi Gras and Sleaze plus many beach hunks that had been casually invited from Kings Beach (as one does casually invite when you’re on holidays). Not only were we surprised by the number who arrived to party but the quality was … errr … delightful!

Hot yet Warm – Richard Bolt

Another of our MEN had hot the SX front cover recently. It is always reassuring to know that our company includes the likes of Richard.

Communication
Thanks to our MEN secretary Rod who has recently emailed many of you asking you to confirm the details we have on file. It takes up a lot of resources to design, print and post the hard copy invitation and newsletter as it is still the best way of ensuring that only those invited access our parties. We use email in addition to, not in place of, the hard copy. To save money, partners and flatmates at the same address usually receive just one envelope with your two invitation cards enclosed.

We want to remain in contact however if we have not heard from you or seen you at a party for a while your mail stops of course. So keep in touch A simple "yes, the details are correct" will do.

No Attitude
Have been really impressed lately by comments from our increasing number of young guys joining the mailing list and who are bringing their friends to parties. What they like about the “say no politely” bit is that they find, refreshingly, is that guys actually do take no for an answer! Not surprising really as there are always so many others waiting to say YES! I guess it beats being hunted down relentlessly by tyrannosaurs in sauna corridors.
